As the High School Mathematics Chair Person in a high school in Jamaica Queens, NY, it is my firm belief that it is our responsibility to bring computer science education to our children. In my first attempt, I noticed that the majority of students were bored with the traditional methods of learning programming (I’m talking Q-Basic and the like). In an attempt to discover how modern well established programmers did it by themselves, I started to host interviews with them. The outcome was this blog.
Much to my discovery, most, if not all of the interviewees were bored/not challenged with school work and did not need school but completed it as a means to get their desired degree.
